Background to the EMTSA Network

The EMTSA Network was formed in 2011 shortly after the first Teaching Schools in the East Midlands were designated. Initially called the East Midlands Teaching Schools Alliance its role was to provide peer support to the growing number of Teaching Schools in the region.

The network was increasingly asked to undertake strategic activities across the region on behalf of the DfE and Teaching Schools Council so decided to form the EMTSA Strategic Group to address this.

Membership of the network

The Network is open to all Teaching Schools in the East Midlands and provides a vital peer support mechanism for new and experienced TSAs.
