|Teaching Schools were introduced as a new flagship scheme in 2011 by the current Conservative government with a brief to drive up school standards through the development of the teaching and wider school workforce.
As an outstanding school with a strong record of teacher training and working with other schools, Northampton School for Boys applied for and was designated as a Teaching School in April 2012. The Northampton Town and County Teaching School Alliance (NTCTSA) was formed to take this forward.
We have been re-designated in 2015 for a further 3 years due to the success and impact that we have had.
